People come to me when...

  • Life runs on sheer willpower and obligation — and somewhere along the way, genuine desire got lost.
  • Saying no feels impossible, and putting yourself first comes with a guilt that's hard to shake.
  • You're exhausted from chasing approval — and even more afraid of letting someone down.
  • You're going through the motions, but nothing actually feels like yours anymore.

About me

I'm Ekaterina Kondrateva, clinical psychologist and Gestalt therapist. I work online in Russian and English.

This is my third career. Before becoming a therapist, I spent years in finance and marketing at large companies. I know that world from the inside — and I understand people who are high-achieving, capable, and quietly lost.

My work draws on clinical psychology, the Gestalt approach, somatic therapy, and several specialisations. But I'm not just here as a professional. I love life, movement, travel, and the kind of spontaneity that keeps things real.

I live in Montenegro, work with people across the world, and run an international community for relocated helping practitioners. I know from my own experience what it means to leave a settled life, adapt somewhere new, and figure out who you are when the familiar context is gone.

I value honesty, directness, and genuine curiosity. No polished promises, no template work. In sessions I'm attentive, I don't rush, and I follow your pace — not mine.

How I work

In therapy we:
Work with automatic patterns. We look at what you keep repeating — and why it's stopped working for you.
Pay attention to the body. Tension, physical symptoms, the way you hold yourself — often there's information there that words haven't caught up with yet.
Find what's actually true for you. Not what's "correct" or "normal" — but what fits your life, your values, your pace.
What I don't do

I don't tell you what to do. If you're looking for someone to hand you a solution, I'm probably not the right fit.
I don't make hard things sound easy. Therapy means looking honestly at yourself, and I won't pretend that's painless.
I need you to be in it. Real change requires your willingness to look, try, and sometimes be uncomfortable.

What people say

Quotes from public sources: Profi.ru and professional Facebook groups.
  • A space to just be
    - Calm, welcoming — you can be yourself, talk even when you don't know what you want to say. It's a place where you can simply exist. - L.

    - What struck me most was the feeling of meeting a person, not just a specialist. The conversation had so many layers — it's genuinely hard to describe. – I.
  • Feeling heard
    - What mattered was feeling your response — not just in words, but physically. Through working with you I started actually listening to my body, noticing how it reacts. – I.

    - You create a space where it's possible to touch something deep. Even though I wasn't ready to go all the way in, just being in that field moved something in me. – К.
  • What stays
    - Life feels lighter and calmer. I've been working with Ekaterina for a while now, and every session teaches me something new about myself. The biggest shift — the deep anxieties have quieted, and self-awareness has become something I actually do, not just think about. – Е.

    - I came at a really hard moment, and you helped me through it. That support is still with me — like something I carry now." – О.
  • The connection
    - Ekaterina listens carefully and asks exactly the right questions. After the very first session I knew I wanted to keep going. – Y.

    - Your rhythm, your voice, the way you speak — it's already something healing. It quiets you, draws you inward, makes you feel safe. – Z.
